Hi Preeti,
There are certain organizational ethics which your current employer has not kept by hiding/lying to you about employee strength. I suggest you leave this organization once you find a better one because your employer may not even give you any relieving certificate after one year, and you will be in trouble as well.

Hi,
I have been trying to switch, but as of now, couldn't get a good option. If I don't get any option for another few months, then what should I do to add value to my skills? It has only been 8-9 months since I started. How can I justify switching from a company so early?

Dear Friends,
I am working in a manufacturing unit where I am the only HR person handling two production units. We have a total of 180 employees, including contract laborers. However, all the processes related to attendance are managed at the corporate office. I am only involved in HR and legal documentation tasks, which are sent here for processing. I am eager to gain practical experience, so please advise me on what steps I can take.

Dear Tanya,
A man is rich only by the knowledge he has and compassion towards others. Having more papers in one's pocket doesn't mean they have it all. It's my suggestion that instead of thinking in this way, give a new direction to your thoughts. Try to know those people who are working with you. There is a possibility that you might have woven your thoughts around their lifestyle, which has caused you to feel inferior. As Mr. Anil has said that you are selected there because of your skill set, so it brings you and others on the same page. There is no need to feel this way. Just come out of your shell and start mixing in. You may find that your perceptions were wrong, and you will start feeling comfortable at your workplace.
Best regards,
Abhinav Gautam.

company size doesn’t matter as long as systems are in place. Implement the best practices and systems and automatically you will be recognised. I prefer to be big fish in small pond. Pon
