Hi All,
I can tell u about few things but u must crosscheck these with others in HR management of IT industry
First of all all the employees will have to accept that there is no fixed working hour for IT people although at the time of appointment a particular working hour will be mentioned in the letter. However the letter will also indicate that in the event of exigencies of business they may have to work beyond working hours.
There will be no overtime payment for the additional working hours but a lump sum depending on the salary and performance of the employee will be paid as cash awards for the month.
All declared public holidays other than sundays are not treated as holidays in IT industry. U have to pick and choose. Maximum holidays in IT industry should not exceed 10/12.
Casual leave without prior intimation is not allowed. Intimation over phone or sms to boss or HR manager is accepted as prior intimation. Such prior intimation should be before at least one hour of beginning of the office.
In the event the employee has worked throughout the night over and above his/ her normal working hour he/ she be given a special leave on the following day.
There should be canteen facility for teabreak, lunch break. If the company has a system of working 24/6 there should be break for evening tea and dinar.
Once in month all the employees/ managers should meet on a high tea / dinar party.
