Job Description:
- Management of the India network
- Actively monitoring and portraying the real-time status of the Network.
- Maintaining network infrastructure in accordance with industry Best Practices.
- Providing technical management for the company's 24x7 network and IDC.
- Implementation of service improvement plans
- Responding to service requests and service request escalations.
- Maintaining documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and asset inventory.
- Managing vendor relationships and negotiating favorable contracts.
- Understanding and recommending emerging new solutions in the networking environment.
- Managing team, including reviews, mentoring and development.
- Scheduling coverage and resources for weekly rotation of 24x7 coverage.
- Training both network staff and cross training other staff within End User Support as required.
- Customer satisfaction survey, audit and review.
- New product and service evaluation & recommendation
- Monitor adherence to regulatory norms and send timely reports to regulatory authorities.
- Assist organization in its endeavor to get various telecom service licenses.
- 5+ years of hands on and strategic network experience. Experience working in a telecom or ISP environment a plus.
- 2+ years in a management position with experience managing technology and staff.
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, Security, and LAN/Wireless/WAN Networking Architecture.
- Must have a minimum of five years of experience with the following:
- Cisco routing and switching
- Network protocols - BGP, OSPF/EIGRP, VTP, Spanning Tree, IPSec
- Network Topologies - Ethernet, MPLS, VPNs, ISDN
- Firewalls
- Familiar with SNMP, RMON and UNIX command
- Both voice and data networking
- Overall system integration
- Proven project management and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes will be a plus.
- Candidates must be customer-oriented, self-motivated, ambitious, and dedicated team players.
- Ability to adapt to changing environment and priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- BE / BSc / Diploma (Computer Science / Telecommunications.
- Cisco certification apart from CCNA is a plus.
