Dear Scheeba,

Could you provide us with a little more information? Which country are you from? What is the nature of your industry? What type of professionals are you looking to train in "Instructional Design and Content Development"? Who will be their target audience, and on what subjects will they be developing their content?

Thanks,

Hi Dinesh / Atul,

Thanks for your inputs. Just to answer your query, Dinesh, I'm working in the HR domain in India for the past 7 years as an HR Business Partner. I wish to enroll in a certification program myself to enhance my L&D knowledge. Just wanted to know which one would be best for that.

Dear Scheeba,

Please share more information. What is the level/background of the target audience, and what is the purpose of the training? To what use will the participants put this knowledge? In which industry/company do the participants work?

We provide this kind of training.

Dear Scheeba,

If the essence of pudding lies in eating, then the essence of training lies in its ROI and not on how the contents are designed. To conduct ROI-centric trainings, no certification is required. You can do it even in your existing profession. In your seven years in HR, you must have attended some training programs. Find out whether ROI could be measured for those trainings. This evaluation of the past trainings or the trainings that you will do in the future will be far more valuable than any certification course!

Most of the TTT courses, particularly done by the hi-fi training MNCs, are trainer-centric. Rather than focusing on ROI, a lot of emphasis is given on the presentation skills of the trainer or what the trainer should or should not do. In the bargain, the very fact that staff training is conducted to bring organizational change is forgotten. The upshot of this misplaced focus is that India does not have sufficient case studies on ROI on training. Where would you like to be? Would you prefer to be with the larger crowd or stand out? The choice is yours!

Thanks,
