Dear all,
Some one asked me that
What is difference between Reliving letter, Experience letter and acceptance of resignation?
As per my knowledge, I wanted to share with you all on this matter!!
Acceptance of resignation is that letter which speaks that your resignation has been accepted by the company, but this doesn't mean that you have been relived.
Here comes reliving letter which contain that concern employee has handed over all charges of documents, belongings, drawings, flies, Keys which employee posses during his/her tenure.
And lastly Experience letter speaks the year of exp. you have, means letter contain date from joining to end. Which is so called experience period.

Is company is giving all these documents to that employee.

Hi Priyanka..
Yes, you are very true.. if someone has resigned after following the every essential procedures, like serving notice period.. has a good record while service.. has cleared all his dues and handed over his responsibilities to the concerned person genuinely.. I don't think there should be any problem to give him all these such letters..
Yes i have handled some resignation while was working with Pantaloons.. we did all these formalities..
If you are meeting with such an accident, do all these formalities from your end with the approval of your senior, i don't think there would any hurdle come in between..
Regards,
Amit Seth.

What is your experience.
Sometimes it so happens that the EMPLOYER is not fair at his end.
And it depends from company to company... like for eg. in our company, the releiving letter and experience letter is one and the same.
Let me explain further,,
Employee submits resignation to supervisor who in turn forwards it to HR Dept with comments, on what to do, usually these comments are can be releived by ------date------, after mutual verbal discussion with Employee. and HR.
HR Gives employee acceptance of resignation letter, for two reasons one to acknowledge the receipt of resignation, and accept it, and to intimate the employee the status of his resignation, in acceptance letter usually the employee is intimated the reliving formalities which he has to do so as to be relieved...
Then along with acceptance of resignation the employee is given a no dues , clearance form, which he has to submit, by ---- date ----- for releiving...
After no dues is submitted, the pf, gratuity settlement forms if applicable are filled up, from employeee...
And he is relieved,, in experience letter, it is mentioned as TO WHOMSOVER IT MAY CONCERN ,, This is to certify that Mr...... was working in our compa as ------from ---startdate--- to end date,,,, and he has been releived from the services of the company wef ---end00date--- (closing hours)
He had following responsibilities / job profile :
ss

We wish him success in all future assignments
END END END
Hope you are clear now as I have given u a live case.. 8) 8) 8) 8)

Let me add a little more on the subject.
In all cases of separation, the company is required to issue a letter. In case of resignation it is the relieving order. In case of terminatio/ dismissal, it is dismissal order/termination letter.
An acceptance letter by its name signifies accepting the employee's decision to separate himself from the Company. But it has to be necessarily followed with a relieving order/letter.
Irrespective of the nature of termination, every employee needs to be issued with an experience certificate specifying the date of joining, date of seoaration/leaving, reasons for seoaratiuon and empoloyees conduct during his association with the Company.
If an employewr is not issuing a relieving letter, it is a different for which procedure can be explained if any one is interested.
