One of my friend has worked 10months in an industry and he resigned. He did complete notice period as per company norms.

After resignation to till date almost two months over, He got another job and current company is asking his service letter. But the existing company has not provided his service certificate.

Can he go through the Legal Notice or any alternate options on this, Kindly suggest guys...

Dear Guru Nageswara Rao,

Your friend's former employer is not providing him with the relieving-cum-experience letter. Since the employer is not providing the said letter, what follow-up up your friend your has done, and why the employer is refusing to provide it? Although the notice period was completed, did the separation have a negative connotation? Does the employer wish to settle the score in any way?

Rather than pursuing the case legally, let your friend approach the former employer and request the relieving-cum-experience letter. The legal route is long and arduous as well. If the employer remains unyielding to your friend's entreaties, then we will consider what to do further.

Thanks,
