Dear Swati,
I am also registering myself for phd..as per my knowledge it just requires a master's degree in the relevant otherwise you need to apply for an eligibility certificate which would permit you to go for PhD. Work experience is not a criteria for registration for PhD.The new norms are already making news..thrfr loads of ppl r already rushing for PhD. registration.

Dear Ph.d Aspirants
UGC has given fresh guidelines for registration for Ph.d.
Most of the Universitites are in the process of formulating the exact rules based on the guidelines.
Have some information
1) There will entrance exam for Phd.
2) Net Set qualified and M.Phil students will be exempted from the entrance exam.
3) I think for Pune University the entrance exam will be in two phases
4) First Paper will be General awarness and reasoning ability Second specific to your subject.
Most probably Pune University will have its entrance exam for paper 1 on 14th February.
5) The schedule for the entrance exam for Phd. from Symbiosis International Deemed University too is awaited.
Will surely update incase of any more news.
Thanks

Dear All,
A candidate can take admission in three ways:
1. PHd from Top level Universities or IITs - Direct Admission by clearing JRF (Junior research Fellowship. (candidate will also get schlorship)
2. Middle level universities - by clearing NET (National Eligibility Test) examination.
3. Most of the universities also take enternance examination for Phd.
4. Some of the institutes also provide fellowship like IIM, IMT Gaziabad this is equvilant to Phd but not eligible for teaching on permanent baisis in Govt. institutes.
Few of the universities provide Phd in Management like Agra University, Meerut University, Gurukul University others provide degree in Commerece. different topics can be choose like Industralisation Relations, Payroll Management, etc.
For Management it needs MBA not PGDM etc.
For any querries related to above, feel free to call me on 9997997097.
