As currently, I am working as an IT Recruiter in an organization and I have around 2 years of experience in IT recruitment. I have a BCom degree and now I am pursuing an MBA in HR. However, I want to transition into a Generalist profile or any other field that aligns with my education.

Kindly suggest what steps I should take next.

Hi,

You can apply for jobs for the position of HR Generalist at a junior level. Currently, as you are working as an IT recruiter, you might be handling support functions like salary benchmarking, CTC breakups, employee induction, manpower planning based on the company's business plan, MIS, HR documentation, etc. You can incorporate all of this in your resume as it will help you gain support in HR generalist functions.

Sumeet

Yes, thanks for the reply. However, here, no one wants to hire a fresher for a generalist role; they require an experienced candidate in Mumbai. So far, all the job openings I have come across for generalist positions require at least 1 year of experience.
