I just just completed PGDBA from scdl, symbiosis have worked in BPO operation for 4 yrs. However, i don't have realtime Hr experience now i have just joined the Upcoming NGO RENEW who support for unprivileged women & children. They have administration. Im told to set up proper documentation for HR dept and best policies for the organisation. I really don't know how to make the policies separately. I need help i would appreciate if any one could help me. I shall be really grateful. If some one can provide the come complete PPT template.

Hey Naina,
Have you tried searching this forum, there is a research tab on the top, just fill your key words and you will find lots of data and information on HR policies. The ppts are all available here, but just make sure what works for other companies may not work for yours so don't just copy and paste, do benchmarking and then design policies.
Try it out and after reading the required material, post your specific queries here and we all will help you out.

Dear Naina,
Pl make SERVICE RULE according to the Labour and Employment Act 2007 and you will get sample of service rule in labour website.
Your job is done rest check the citihr and you can formulate one by one each policy.

Dear naina,
First and foremost you need to make the HR service book. and you could also make a HR manual which would include all the HR processes for any HR job. other than that you could also make a long term and short term HR plan.

Hi Naina,
I agree with all the above members. First set up clear HR vision and mission which is aligned to that of the company. Then do a simple rough work on a piece of paper on what all the policies you would require, viz., Employee health and safety policy, working hours / shift hours policy, Exit / Separation policy, Absconding policy, Joining / Induction policy, Dress code policy, ID Card policy, FnF Policy, Late Working / Holiday Working / OT Policy, Leave Policy, Referral Policy (If applicable), Rewards & Recognition Policy, Travel Policy, ID Card Policy, Welfare Policy etc., & then you can start writing the policies whichever are required / applicable.
Later you can start working on the process documents (define the process flow for each of the topic).
Post which, you will be easily able to work on the Employee Relations Policy & Employee Handbook / HR Manual.
