Hi All,

Need your help on the below. My friend was working in an MNC (A) for 6 years and switched to another MNC (B). There he didn't get any project, waited more than a month. At that time, he got another offer from another MNC (C) with a direct project. When he handed in his resignation at B, he was informed that he has a 3-month notice period. This was not mentioned in the offer letter or anywhere when he joined. Nonetheless, he requested early release, but they did not respond. After waiting for a week or 10 days, feeling insecure, he absconded from B and joined C.

After working for 7 months at C, they discovered a 3-month overlap in PF credit and asked him to explain. He honestly disclosed everything, but as a consequence, he was terminated from C without any notice.

He reached out to B, offering to return the amount and requested a change in the release date, but B is unwilling to accommodate it.

Now, he has been selected by another MNC (D), but the Background Verification (BGV) process shows a 3-month overlap. What should he do?

He did not mention anything about B on his resume and informed D that he resigned from C due to family issues.

Please help.

Hi,

Company D will verify the employment details of Company C only and not Company B.

If he was properly relieved from Company C, and if Company C doesn't share the actual reason for the separation, there will not be any issue. However, even if he receives negative feedback from Company C, he can explain the actual circumstances under which he was forced to leave Company B.

Hi Lakshmi Narayanan,

Company D HR is asking for the reason for the 3-month overlap. Could you please advise?

My friend genuinely shared what happened at company C, but they terminated him for disclosing the information, even though it was not his mistake. I need your advice.

Thank you.

Hi all,

Company D has stated that this is a case of dual employment and has rejected the candidate. The company is unwilling to rectify this issue, stating that it cannot be done.

No one is addressing this matter, and if it persists, the candidate may never secure a job. We need your assistance with this. Please guide us.

Thank you

Hi,

I don't see any reasons as to why Company D is verifying past PF transactions. So now try to get a letter from the company stating that due to a lack of projects, you are allowed to look for a job. Ask your friend to visit the office in person and make the request politely. Hiding an old UAN is not possible.
