Background Verification Process

I am a working professional with 13 years of experience, having worked in four companies to date. Due to issues in the corporate environment, I have been unable to secure a promotion and am currently working as a senior associate. I recently lost my job due to a process ramp-down. I am considering whether it would be feasible to omit my previous experiences before 2013, as the data for that period is not available on the UAN portal. Is it acceptable to conceal this experience in order to secure a job? Additionally, what procedures do companies typically follow to verify previous employers if the information is not accessible on the UAN portal? I am interested in understanding the implications of hiding past work experiences.

Hi,

You claim to have 13 years of experience, so why do you want to hide experience prior to 2013? In what way will it help you to get a job? PF UAN was implemented by September 2014. If you choose to omit these details from your resume, a future employer might not verify them. However, if they discover this after you have joined, it could lead to trouble for you.

Is the experience prior to 2013 not relevant experience?
