Hi Colleagues,
With an objective to engage the executive-level staff, I have come up with a suggestion to the management to form a staff welfare/employee engagement committee. This will help the staff to be involved in creating/planning/executing team-building activities. I have put forward the following thoughts:
1) This committee will comprise 5-6 staff members (Budgets handled by HR head and final approval by HR head).
2) The committee will take care of festivals/birthday celebrations/staff outings or any fun activities, etc.
However, my management has asked to prepare a roles and responsibilities sheet to define the role of the committee members so that they do not go overboard with their plans.
Looking forward to thoughts and ideas from you all.
Thanks in advance.
Warm regards,
Gloria

Hi Gloria,
Good initiative! The festival and birthday celebrations will bring a fun element to the daily routine. Also, try to sensitize your employees regarding your company's pressing issues, if any. For example, on-time arrival, vehicle parking, absenteeism, zero defects, time management, etc. This can be done through different games, role-plays, and, at times, through formal or informal interactions. This will give visibility to the HR department as well. Also, ensure the interaction is always interactive.
Additionally, providing a role and responsibility sheet for each member will help avoid the repetition of work.
Good luck, Gloria!

Hi Gloria,
Please provide more information about yourself and your organization, including details about the Strength Staff and Operative workforce. Describe the nature of the company's business.
Share your role and portfolio, particularly in organizing any committees. This will enable others to suggest relevant opinions. Your feedback on the above-mentioned points is highly appreciated.

Thank you both.
I lead the HR department, and our staff strength is 20. We are a UK professional body of Engineers. The idea behind engaging other executive-level staff is that they often end up performing the same routine tasks. This engagement would provide them with inspiration to think beyond their daily responsibilities, nurturing their creativity.
