  • Hello,

    I have a serious question.

What is the meaning of Group Insurance Policy ? In case of sudden death (say cardiac arrest) does the family members get the said money?

Following are a few clips from our HR :-

This gives me immense pleasure in announcing that we are going to start Group

Insurance policy for our valued employees.

The benefit is for 24 hours of the day and valid all over the world. The Sum Assured

will be 20 times of the monthly salary or Rs 5 lakhs whichever is more. You are

requested to furnish the details (attached with this mail) ASAP.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Sir,

I hereby provide the following information for the Group Insurance Policy.

    1. Name of the Employee –

    2. Date Of Birth -

    3. Nominee with Relationship -

    4. Address of the Nominee -

    Full signature

    Date:

    Place: ( Name )

Now in case of a sudden death (cardic arrest) of an employee is he/she entitled to the amount?

If not, what is the reason?

    Please comment.

    Thanks,

    Mousumi

(Fact Checked)-The Group Insurance Policy typically includes a clause for accidental death coverage, which should cover sudden deaths like cardiac arrest. Family members are entitled to the specified amount in the policy. It's essential to review the specific terms and conditions of the policy for clarity. (1 Acknowledge point)
