Hii Rekha....You pursue an 18 months course of ISTD(Indian Institute of Training & Development) which will give u a lot of insight into the subject as well as go through a course on Instructional Design/Train The Trainer which tells you about how to design the Training Module.

Dear Mr. Sujoydas,
I have close to 20 yrs of experience in the field of admn./corporate secretary. Last 1 1/2 yrs i have worked in end-to-end recruitment with Business Development. But as a trainer this is my first step.
Is there a possibility that I can join hands as co-trainer or assist a trainer in delivery. I am a very fast learner

Hi Mayan... Thanks very much for the valuable suggestion. But at this point in my career, I might not be able to take a break of 18 months. I need to be on the job. Also, if you share the contact details it would be helpful. I did try to search but unable to locate.

Rekha,
I suggest reading the book The Accidental Trainer by Nanette Miner -- which you can get at Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more.
Also, the website <link no longer exists - removed> has some very good tips, articles, and other resources to help as well.
I hope that this helps. Good luck to you...

Hi there...
Please remember however, that there is a difference between presenting and training. The two are not mutually exclusive and being a good presenter does not mean that you will be a good trainer. Training requires loads of interaction, lots of engagement from the learners - they cannot be passive in their learning or they will learn nothing! Great trainers talk less than their students, and their students rarely sit down in a session. Presenters "Say & Spray". Make sure you learn from great trainers, not great presenters.
Regards,
J
