Hello Professionals,

I have over 3 years of experience in Human Resources and I am interested in pursuing a career in the L&D domain. I am looking to obtain a certification in this field. Can you please advise if I can enroll in the "Train the Trainer" program? Additionally, I would like to know which institutes offer this program and if it is possible to complete it through Mumbai University. Any suggestions aside from certification are also welcome.

Thank you,
Rupali

Hi,

The most well-known formal Train the Trainer (TTT) program is offered by the Indian Society for Training and Development, New Delhi (http://www.istd.co.in). This is a fairly comprehensive program but also lengthy. If the idea is to quickly delve into training by leveraging the learning from some short-term TTT, it is best to do a Google search and then conduct additional research about the faculty, the course contents, and the possibility of gaining practical training exposure before you join in.

I would also suggest going through my reply in the following link (https://www.citehr.com/493346-how-can-fresher-behavioral-trainer.html), which will provide you with valuable insights into how you can successfully embark on your journey as a trainer.

Wishing you the very best in your endeavor to join the L&D domain and hopefully become an effective trainer too.

Hi Rupali,

One of the best-known Train the Trainer programs is conducted by NIESBUD in New Delhi in collaboration with IFC (International Finance Corporation), which is the training wing of the World Bank. NIESBUD stands for the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development. They usually conduct one or two programs in a year, and details will be available on their website.

First, you need to attend a 4-5 day workshop and then complete the assignment given to you. After that, you will be given the completion certificate. If you are still interested, you can proceed to the Master Trainer certification. It's worth attending this program.

Cost: around ₹15,000.

Wishing you all the best.
