Hi Kanika,

You hold masters degree in HR so there is no need for you to pursue any other full fledged course just to learn HR operations because MBA covers it all!! Moreover experience is the best training of all!

The best way is to keep applying management trainee jobs at HR generalist level. There are lots of HR profiles which has 70:30 ratio scenario, where in 70% is recruitment and 30% is handling joining formalities, regularising attendance and assisting in exit formalities. This type of jobs would suit you best at this juncture to make an entry in the HR generalist profile.

If you are updated with statutory compliance and have proficient knowledge on excel then some companies might also be willing to take you on board for assisting in payroll.

Bagging a job is not a cake walk, so do not get bogged down if you haven't got any calls from employer. Keep applying for jobs that are relevant as mentioned above. Be open to salary so that your profile is considered, you are on juncture of finding a stepping stone so do not be hasty or rigid, be open to something that will come across in generalist profile for you.

Good luck!

MBA or diploma?? both are two different courses... Do you mean MBA distance learning or simply PGDHRM, what were the topics covered under that program???
Nevertheless... first you need to know what is statutory compliance... there is no institute offering you it. Go through this link...https://www.citehr.com/93257-what-st...-download.html

Hello Kanika,
Generalist profiles includes lot of roles and it may vary from company to company
1. Selection and Joining formalities.
2. Onboarding and Induction
3. PF forms,Bank account opening, Employee IDs etc
4. Maintaining, modifying, updating HR Policies as per requirements.
5. HRIS software updates
6. Leave Management
7. Attendance record
8. Payroll management
9. Performance appraisal
10. Employee Engagement activities
11. Reward and recognition
12. Employee Grievances
13. Legal compliance, Statutory laws knowledge
13. Exit formalities etc
You can perform it by yourself when you join a Company by taking help of your senior or mentors.
There are some courses but practical knowledge can be gained only on Job. Add some more keywords
in your resume else than Recruitment so that your profile get shortlisted for generalist role.
