Has the worker complained about receiving calls in the night? The sex of the worker is immaterial in the days of Sex equality.
It all depends upon how serious the effect of not finishing the work is and how valuable the worker is. If the worker keeps repeating the same thing, the give her written warning and replace her, if she can be; and give her some other work that is not critical. You are the best judge about the situation, as we are not privy to all the details.

No one employee or Employer after office hours completed, there personal life no one buy life of other or independant
What do you mean by your statement? Is not an employee supposed to work diligently and complete the work in the given time and/or seek help and inform of why work was not completed for getting paid?

Hi,
Lets take it other way round. Is it not the responsibility of Manager or the boss to get the work done in working hours instead of calling the employees after working hours. Instead of asking the employee after leaving the office why the work was not completed, he/she should ask himself or herself has he/she been successful of being on his position wherein he cannot get the work done from his juniors. If that person cannot get the work done from his juniors within the time frame then the question arises if he/she is competent to be on that position wherein he needs to call his juniors after office hours.

Dear Poonam,
I do not know what position you hold or have held. As a Senior Lecturer, I had the freedom to teach, set assignment, mark, etc. My Faculty Dean did not check how I did my work. I had the liberty not even to go to my university when I did not have a class to teach. However, I was expected and duty bound to do my work diligently and on time so that my Dean did not receive any complaint from my students or colleagues.
Thus, do not expect the boss to keep prodding a worker in the back all the time to get the work done. In some cases, the span of control is large and it is unrealistic to expect the boss to have a daily meeting with all the staff before they go home to check the progress of the work.

I would say, we should give proper guidelines to each and every employee regarding his/her work responsibilities. If he/she is unable to deliver information or fail to accomplish a task then he/she should inform the respective person before leaving office.
But incase of emergency then they first take permission of employee before starting questions. .like " is this the right time to talk to you" or will you give me a few minutes to discuss ---------if you are free" etc etc
I do agree with samvedan.

Corporate life is incredibly competitive and sometimes work goes on 24/7and global dealings.Your late night may be working time in the foreign country. An employee(Male or Female) should be accessible at all times in case of urgency which involves urgent company matters.Likelihood of people being called at odd hours should be made a key term for certain positions. If the deliverable is such importance and does not brook delay, then you can call the concerned person. But the concerned person himself/herself should have been monitoring the position of the deliverable if it was all that vital.
Having said this ,there has to be healthy segregation of personal time and professional time.As a matter of fact.government employees are supposed to be on call 24 hours.
Personally I would avoid calling people at odd times if it can be avoided without damage o the organisation.

Ya I accept with simon jothi and samvedan...
Everyone has the responsibility to do both personal and office work... Office work will not taken over to personal life.... Its better to undisturb the employees after their working time...

well said Mr. Nathrao..
What is female female female female .. its just boring... kindly not concenrate on female female only both male and female are having equal rights.. got it.. now concentrate on problem..
call to any employee is acceptable if it will be business / professional call and related to the urgency of perticular employee only.
When someone write FEMALE EMPLOYEE then every one jumps to solve the problem and "n" numbers of views and replies come.
Be professional guys !!

If it is mission critical then the boss / colleague may have a conversation within decent hours say by 10:00 pm or else just text the requirement hoping that you will get a reply. Otherwise, if it can wait till 09 am of the next day then it makes sense to discuss work related stuff at work only. Unless of course, there is sunshine beyond the cloud... But sunshine leads to lot of warmth (heat) and the conversation may lead to perspiration soon enough for both parties involved.
Cheers!
