It is been extended to 26 weeks & not 24 weeks. It is just approved in Lok Sabha. Subsequently there are further process as well before final Gazette. Better wait & watch till the Gazette notification.

Just one clarification, if female employee is covered under ESI and obtaining Maternity leave, in this case whether the ESI is going the compensate the Salary of 12 weeks or 26 weeks or employer has to pay the salary?
