Kindly highlight the following:
1. Can a pregnant women get maternity leave who joined a PSU (Govt.) from other PSU through proper channel.
2. Is minimum period of service is required for Fixed termed employee if yes, how to regulate because we are engaging them for 01 year only we can not also deny them for employment because of pregnancy.

Hi,

Contractual employees are also entitled to 26 weeks of maternity leave. However, employee may not avail maternity benefits after the expiry of the contract period.

Woman employee should have minimum 80 working days to her credit in last 12 months counting from start of maternity leave to be eligible for maternity benefits .
