(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The calculation provided is incorrect. The basic wage should be calculated as 65% of the gross salary consistently, and the PF deduction should be based on the basic wage only. The correct breakdown and calculation are as follows: - Basic (65% of 9000) = 5850 - Other Allowances = 3150 - PF deduction (12% of 5850) = 702 - ESI deduction = 158 Total earned wage should be recalculated accordingly.

  • Dear All,

Can I calculate the salary of any employee by directly calculating it based on their total monthly salary and then multiplying that salary by the number of days they worked, divided by the total number of days in the month? For example:

Salary of XYZ month of any employee = Total salary * number of days worked / 31

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The method you mentioned for calculating an employee's salary based on the number of days worked is incorrect. Wages are typically calculated based on a standardized monthly rate.

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The user reply needs correction. The gross salary of 25000 for only 6 days is unusual. Gross salary is usually calculated based on a monthly rate. Please refer to labor laws for accurate salary calculations.
