Praveen please do your posting under the relevant subject. This is totally different issue. Please take care before you post your questions, this will help you in getting of your answers also.

Gayatri am very sorry for the delay in replying. Yes what you said is a right process when you want to test sales people. Just try to put down what does sales guy needs to be successful in your organisation.

Does he needs to be aggresssive, forceful or he needs to be the one who blah blah blah's a lot... just get the competencies required and check how many of them you are able to cover with your test.

Then start testing it on the people who are successful and compare the results. I dont think you will be able to finish it so fast. Else you can start testing it on particular group of students in a college. You need to test it on more numbr of people before doing the actual test. Always remember that psychometric tests shouldnt be basis of selection, they should be the supporting reports for selection.

We did a psychometric test which can be used both for IT and Non IT ( Keeping sales and finance in mind). :wink: This is in the testing process right now.

there is no test paper attached it is just aformat of test ,I want a psychometric test paper along with the answers

i just read ur query.
the answer is NO.
validity of test is a long process of questionnaire formation & designing and then filling of those forms from the target population, again they are compiled and the questainnaire is made consice and again it is sent back to the target population and so it goes on until u have a structured form of a questionaire.
It also need to be validated by a department of psychology or a guide.

Gayatri i would also like to add that scale , which u have mentioned is also not proper.
Try to read some Research methodology book so that u will come to knowthat there are diffrent point scale.
eg:-linkert scale, or 3 point scale or 5 or 7 point.
so pls check out .

If you have developed a test the scale should also be made by you.
One cant use a scale of diffrent test and the questionaire of different test.
I hope i am clear.
The key and answers should be of the same test.
Could you inform me in my mail what is thetest u want to develope?

The test that I intend to develop is supposed to help out in recruitment of sales and rsearch people in our organization. When one can go for certified tests , my boss has decided to make this my first project. I have expressed serious concerns about the validity of the test which has fallen to deaf ears. So If you could guide me in coming up with a decent valid test it would be really great!
