Actually first of all after completion of self details you have to ask him questions on basic knowledge of HRM, if you found satisfactory then you go for his attitude, behaviour, and others

Dear ALL,
Please Please Please these type of postings and replies.
We have to come over age.
An Asst Manager will have a minimum of 4-5 years of Professional Experience
He is recruiting his own subordinate.
He is asking us what are the types of questions that can be asked.
I am sure, he could have put himself in that situation and asked questions to him itself.
He could have recollected the questions that was asked to him.
He could have done some research in this forum to understand the postings that has been done already for the same topic.
If he is asking the questions, will he know the answer
if he is preparing now as an interviewer, what will be the quality of the interview that is to be conducted.
Also, Let us not reply to these type of queries.
we ourselves are killing the creativity of the other person by spoon feeding
Please think..

Now comes to the point what question you can ask to the HR Fresher, because they donot condition of statutory compliances which isbeing implemented.
so simply you can ask to him/her about competancy mapping, brain storming , kaizen and knowledge reagarding the theoritical factory act and others labours law which they have in their studied.
Apart from it ask him by give a case about industrial dispute then try to ask him how you will sort out this, so definitely it bring the candidates competancy mapping which you are required through new comer.
I hope you will clear by this.
Thanks

Mr. Ramnaresh has given quite a few questions which can be asked. But please make sure you have the candidate at ease to begin with and then slowly build up a pressure because under pressure they can make mistakes and then it will be easy to judge them. Challenge their answers. See how they react. Give them a situation and maybe some people problem and see if they come up with some satisfactory response. After all they will be dealing with people.

Hi Navdeep,
First of all, HR itself is a huge area and being a fresher the candidate will be unable to answer all the questions in HR. So for a fresher in HR the following areas can be highlighted:
1) Concepts in HR like: Recruitment,Trends in that; Performance Appraisal & Management; Training and Development; Some questions on Salary; Give some live cases(HR based) and "judge" the way he analysis the situation and takes a decision ( like Recruitment, Promotion, Grievance handling) etc. Some questions like, "What you would do in this situation"- again touching different aspects of HR; Ask them what all the current practices in HR; Companies having best practices in HR; Judge on Attitude, Interpersonal relationship; team work, leadership qualities; veryImp question: Why you choose HR as the career option over Marketing, IT, Operations etc good paying option to heck the Passion in HR profession.

You can ask him/her about recruitment stages, difference between recruitment & selection. If you need to know his/her legal Knowledge you can ask about PF & ESIC contribution. Components of salary. This are some basic question which we can ask from HR fresher.
