Hi
I would like to find out more how one could embark on a midlife career change to a HR professional if she does not any relevant HR/coaching experience. Currently, I am working in a clinical department and at the same time, pursuing a HR course on a part-time basis
Thank you
Regards

hi, PL
Is good that you taking a HR course if you intention to switch your career path.
And second thing you need to find a good employer who able to give you the opportunity to work and at the same time apply the knowledge and skill to the new career.
Good lucky to you.

My suggestion would be to focus on dedicated career change. Instead of doing part time HR and going to HR profeesion is not encouraged. You need to go for full time HR degree and then look for the entry level job in HR.

Dear Mr/Ms/Mrs AK Arora
I apologise for the delayed response. My work experience includes training & education & research support, project coordination, event organization & planning and some department hr matters pertaining to doctors' promotions, performance appraisals and 360 Assessment Exercise in healthcare industry for the past 12 years. I have obtained a Graduate Diploma in HR with SHRI & MBA. As the dept has very limited scope of hr work and I sincerely wish to expand my keen interest to be a full time HR professional, therefore, I enrolled myself with HCS to pursue my professional diploma in HRM & HRD to compensate for my missing hr competencies/knowledge. To-date, I already completed 1 professional diploma in HRM.
I am interested in doing recruitment & selection & talent management as a HR professional in near future.
Thank you
