Dear All,

Yesterday, I joined as a Core HR in one of the leading retail companies in Guntur. I have 4 years of recruitment experience in the IT, Constructions, and Healthcare industries, but I am new to Retail as well as core activities of HR. Can anyone please suggest some basic activities and a step-by-step process?

You must be looking after HR functions in a store or a chain of stores. The following will normally be the HR functions in a store:

1) Completing joining formalities;
2) Punctuality and attendance of staff;
3) Uniforms of staff;
4) Payroll issues of staff;
5) Leave management;
6) Statutory compliance like PF and ESI;
7) Grievance handling at store level;
8) Training needs of staff;
9) Disciplinary issues;
10) Medical care;
11) Full & Final settlement issues at store level.
