There are more than one way of offering this measure to employees-
1) Running own canteen with own catering crew and eatables are sold at subsidised rates
2) Outsourcing this facility by engaging Catering contract
These measures can also facilitate desk to desk service when time bound projects are on hand when 'time-is-the essence'
3) Buy out-right necessary items from selected service providers or Caterers and stock them on shelves located in the premises so that they are available at specified times and employees can pick items as 'self service' by depositing food coupons supplied by office. Side by side soft drinks, espresso coffee vending m/c are also kept. Many IT firms are using this as it's found to be cost & time effective.
4) Distribute food coupons such as 'Sodexo', Swiggy every month worth ranging various sums depending on scale & status of employees (this will also help employees to procure their house hold articles from shops using these coupons)
5) Also consider paying monthly allowances as part of salary,fixing slabs commensurate with employees' scales & status.
Of course any measure of these suit to the no.of employees to be catered.
Some of these measures can also be combined like allowances + coupons for them to be utilised during late/night shifts.
