Dear Jensen,
Namaskar.
Probably you want to become psychometrician. Psychometry/mental measrement/statistics are taught as special papers in every psychology department of the country in masters level. Bombay IIT too does have incumbency.
Certification is quality control. When there are hardly unidentifiable psychometricians, so far there is no need of certification.
Please feel free to ask any other question as you please

Mr Mahanta,
Thanks for your quick reply. your views are certainly appreciated !!
Infact i have been researching of what i should be doing in terms of psychology. I have just hoped into a recruiters position and think that the next thing to do was to certify myself with some additional degrees. (you could also guide me as to what i could be doing)
You have thrown light on a few areas which i would need to ponder about.
Also Mr. Mahanta i am from a B'Com background and i am given to know that i cannot do a course in psychology unless i go through 3 years of Bachelor of arts (university course) -- "which i am not willing to do "!!
Is there any other way this could be done.
Besides psychology, is there any chances of doing MBTI through a course ? WHERE i have a diploma/degreee etc ........ and where is this institute/consultancy .........
Thanks.

Thanks jensen for your queries. Since you are a B.com I suppose you know the basics of statistics. But the difference is that in commerce the trend of mass behaviour is important where as in psychometry individual behaviour and differences are important. In India I do not think any certification programme is available. however, casually I have seen that there are on line programmes by certain foreign concerns. In fact, corporate sector is more concerned about competency rather than formal degrees or diplomas. So please make a net search of:
On line courses in psychometry and psychology.
I am sure you will get plenty websites.
Yes, but be sure unless you go through practical exercisees on test standardisation, data collection and reporting, no programme is of any help. For that you need to be associated with experienced persons. But if you sustain your motivation, i find that there is a crying need of an Indian psychometry industry.
please feel free to ask any other questin as you please.

Hi, My understanding is that you must have a Master’s Degree in order to be certified in MBTI. Have you though of using the DiSC Personal Profile Sysyem?
Hi all,
well m doin' my masters in psychology from delhi wid specialization in organizational behaviour, n itz a two year course.
Now if wanna apply for dis' thr is no precondition dat you need to be have a bachelor in psychology. There's an entrance test ( predominantly psychology oreitened but you can still prepare ) and interview for the selection purposes. We had someone in our batch who was from Statistics background. So it is possible for anyone to join.
M not too sure abt MBTI certification and itz pre-conditions as regard to masters in psy ,but i guess one should have had completed atleast a PG before the certification.
If any further enquiry..lemme kno.
