Hi,
You may form Annual Day celebration planning committee consist of HR and one member from each department. Give free hands to the committee as to how to plan and execute the events. The Committee may call for interested employees to participate in the event to exhibit their personal talents like dance, mimicry, singing etc.
Added to the above you can suggest committee members to plan for some fun games with prizes.
During Annual Day celebrations you may recognize employees for
Best performance
Being punctual to office all days
award for less leave availed
employees who had completed 5 /10/15/20 years ( years as per your choice )
Conclude the celebrations with Dinner. Thank all the employees for the support extended.

Dear Colleague, In addition to the suggestions made, you may think of organizing indoor/ outdoor sports competition and fancy dress competition. Regards, Vinayak Nagarkar HR- Consultant

All employees should cherish the memory of the Annual day celebration. Keeping this in mind
you may chalk out programmes. As, In the earlier posts, recognition of employees (by giving awards and appreciation letter) based on-
1) best performer of the year
2) best attendance
3) Long service awards
could be made. Do you have suggestion scheme & suggestion committee. In the celebration, you could also give award to employees who have made best suggestion.
Announce a welfare measure to employees. This will definitely give rich dividend from staff to company.
Organize a Very nice dinner to all. Ensure that female employees are droped in company vehicle to their respective residence.
Depending on budget you may initiate further programmes.

Hi Jmanis,
Cultural competitions are conducted to exhibit the hidden talents of the employees. I have referred signing dancing as an example. It could be anything. A team of employees may perform a drama /skit / Mime / magic show etc. The role of HR is to keep the employees entertained / participate / get involved / feel proud to be part of the Organization. It all depends on the budget of the employer for the Annual Day celebration. Depends on the budget even you may call cine /tv celebrities which will be more joyful.

Hi HRs, I am new to the field and have been appointed as a third-party HR. I am supposed to plan an annual day that is happening for the first time. It is a jewellery background company, and I am supposed to handle the entire event. (I am the only HR here.) Please help me with ideas to make it memorable.
