I believe you should ask minimal 5-6 k hike reasoning that you have been paid relatively low at the time of joining and now your efforts have been tested. Then only you may get 4 to 5 k.

Dear Mamatha,
Have you completed your probationary period? If yes, then only ask for the hike. In almost every organization, an evaluation takes place after the completion of the probationary period. Wait until the right time comes; that's my suggestion.
You could have negotiated before joining for your low package. But now, suddenly asking for it may be perceived by management as a negative approach.
Apart from your hike, you may ask for mobile and conveyance reimbursement, obviously considering your job description.
All the best.

Hi,
Wait until you finish your probationary period and then, once you become permanent, ask for a salary increase and request to be paid according to market standards. You can also negotiate for additional benefits on top of the basic salary. Do not settle for a raise less than $4,000.
Best wishes,

Hi,
It is the same case as mine. I am getting 9000/-. I have completed my probation of six months but have not received my confirmation letter. I have an LL.B plus DLL, LW, and HR MBA. I am not receiving my desired salary, so I now want a hike in my salary. However, I think that I do not have enough experience to justify a raise. What should I do? Should I ask for a salary hike now, or should I wait for the right time? Please guide me. Am I receiving the right salary?
Thank you.

Hello friends,
It would be better to look for a job change while also asking for a hike. Mamta's case is worthy of a ₹4k hike, considering her probation completion and the negotiations she had at the time of joining. However, dear Manogawali, your profile is adorned with relevant degrees, and I do not suppose you should work for such a minimal remuneration. Don't be concerned about the experience as you are working well below the industry pay level. Keeping an eye out for better-paying employers, you should request a ₹6k hike.

Dear Pal,
In the initial stage of a career in HR, you should not think about the package you get until you are satisfied with your job description. Being satisfied with your job description means you have opportunities to explore new trends in HR, work on HR initiatives, and add more achievements to your dossier. This way, you can negotiate with employers by showcasing your accomplishments.
Therefore, don't be demotivated by the salary you receive; it depends on the scope of what you possess.
