Dear Senior,
I am in manufacturing industry which is in Bakery and patisserie products in Gujarat. They have 150+ employees.
Here, they have no HR department I have to start up.
Like initially I interacted with each one of them prepare Job Descriptions. Right now studying each section identifying their problems and discussing with top mgmt.
Here they have 365 days working, no holiday given. I convinced mgmt to give atleast 2 holidays in a month.
Workers here are given wages of 3200/- per month , provided they work 12+ hours till the demand gets over and no holiday. I think this will not work out here.
What are your views on it as you are aware of all labour laws.
I want your guidance which will help me out.
Kindly do the needful.

You are doing great job , because managing the people with all these problems is not a easy job,
my advice is first of all interact with all tha employees then u can the status and prepare one documents after you can analyse and prepare a solutions for that and make a proposal to mgnt what ever the changes you want made

Dear Nidhi, as per national holiday act u should provide atleast 3 holiday in a year (15th aug,26jan & 2oct) but in gujarat almost 9 holiday given in all manufacting unit. Regards, Ashish

Hi Nidhi,
start doing third party payroll. invite outsourcing agencies.. they will definatly decrease the tension as well as u can certify ur co. by ISO IF not. The employees will get complete coverage as well benefits. for managing holidays of ur employees u can hire daily labours.
