Hi Sweety,
It seems that you are a management student, and have listened these terms for the first time... Anyways, I'll brief you with all :
PMS stands for Performace Mangement System through which an employee's performance is been calculated. It is done once (in some organizations twice) a year.
GD is Group Discussion. It is one of the techniques used at the time of interviews. It helps in shortlisting the applicants on various parameters.
Now the last one,
SWOT Analysis is a marketing strategy in which you analyze a product's success in 4 different parameters. SWOT stands for Strength Weakness Opportunity and Threats.
I hope I've made these terms a little familiar to you now. Details you can easily get from various management books or through Google.
All the Best.

Hi
PMS is Performance Management System : is a strategic and integrated process that delivers sustained success to organisations by improving the performance of the people who work in them and by developing the capabilities of individual contributors and teams..
GD ( are you refering to Group Discussion ) or ... can you elucidate..
SWOT : Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat.. It is a way to understand for a company what is its SWOT analysis in the market. Eg: YOU ( HOW ?)
Strength : Very frank in asking questions.
Weakness : Not much of understanding of the topics
Opportunities : To be in touch with me on HR subjects
Threats : NO replies for your mail....
Well I guess you might have understood the example...

Performance management is the process of creating a work environment or setting in which people are enabled to perform to the best of their abilities. Performance management is a whole work system that begins when a job is defined as needed. It ends when an employee leaves your organization.
Many writers and consultants are using the term “performance management” as a substitution for the traditional appraisal system. I encourage you to think of the term in this broader work system context. A performance management system includes the following actions.

- Provide effective orientation, education, and training.
- Provide on-going coaching and feedback.
- Conduct quarterly performance development discussions.
