Hi All, I recently attended an interview for HR executive for a UK company, they told me after the 1 stage of the interview, I will have 2nd stage of presentation Interview where they will show a few presentations and questions will be asked. I have no clue what does the presentation Interview means as I never attended such a presentation Interview before. Could anyone help me with examples? It would be really helpful for me to crack the interview

Dear Helan,

You have asked a question but you have given an answer in your post itself. You have written "I will have 2nd stage of presentation Interview where they will show a few presentations and questions will be asked."

Has the future company informed you on the subjects the presentations will be shown? If yes, then it will make your job a little easier as you can read the books on the subject. However, if the subjects are not confirmed then it could make your job a little difficult. Nevertheless, this is a novel way to conduct the interviews. My interpretations of this method as given below:

a) You should take the notes when the presentations are shown. This will help you in asking questions or seeking clarification or giving replies. Ask the interviewer(s) well in advance whether you are expected to check the spelling and grammar of the contents of the slides also.

b) Please note that your interpretation will depend on the subject knowledge.

c) Try to read the lines and also read between the lines. The latter is tougher than the former. It requires the presence of the mind. But if you are able to read between the lines then you could impress the interviewer(s).

d) Lastly, try to find whether there is any logical inconsistency in the slides or amongst the slides. Bring to notice the inconsistency with due permission from the interviewer(s).

e) If you feel that adequate information is not provided then better to tell the interviewer(s) that the comments could not be made for the want of information.

Hope the above points help in preparation.

All the best!

Dear madam,

I guess that the visuals shown in the test might contain situations an HR executive commonly has to face.In that case, you will be tested on Your problem solving skills involving an ability to size up the situation, interpret/analyse it and various actions you suggest to resolve it.

This is is part of the psycho tests which is intended to probe deeply into your knowledge, attitude, skills and values you possess.

You can Google various psycho test available and attempt to solve them which will give you good confidence .
