Most important thing before attending the interview is to:
By heart your resume first and be confident of the subject you have mentioned.
Stay updated on new concepts.
Dress professionally, be punctual, maintain eye contact, and respond honestly.
I think it will help you excel in the interview.

As an HR executive, you must be well-versed in understanding the difference between recruitment and selection, sources of recruitment, the process of recruitment and selection, why HR is a specialization, the role of HR, and company policies followed by HR.

You have to be confident enough at the time of the interview. This is only the mantra of success.

The most common questions are:
- Why do you want to make a change?
- Which is your specialized area in HR gamut - either Recruitment, PMS, T&D, Compensation and Benefits, Rewards & recognition, etc.?
- What are your goals/aims in the future?

Other than these questions, you should know your job.
