Dear Dharemander,
You have asked for Haryana Shop Act. It is correct that by the nane of Haryana there is no Shop Act. The Punjab Shop & Commercial Establishment Act,1958 is applicable the the State of Haryana, Punjab & U T Chandigarh. It is noticeable that Haryana Govt. have made some important changes in section 13 which is of registration in the year 1997. Thereafter they have also made amendment in the year 2004 regarding the quantam of punishment. As per the file attached by Sh Rajiv shows that there are three festival holidays are therein the Act while the Haryana Govt.Already made Five holidays by the amendment in Shop Act.In Delhi the name of Shop Act is Delhi Shops & C . Estt Act. Before utilsing these Acts we must go through the relevant amedments of the respective State. These bare Acts are generally avaiable at the shop of Booksellers. These are available at cities like Chandigarh, Delhi, Gurgaon etc. Rules are also there in these bare Acts.
Hope this will solve your query.

Dear Fateh Singh,
It will be better to approach the office of your area Shop Inspector of your city/area to know the procedure of registration of your establishment/ Shop. Moreover name of the application form is "Form -F''. As already told that this Punjab Shops & Commercial Establishment, 1958 is applicable to UT Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana. Now see where your establishment is situated & take the file from your city book-seller & deposit with the area Shop Inspector.

Hi Mr. Khola, I wanted to check that according to The Punjab Shop & Commercial Establishment Act as applicable to the State of Haryana an employee is entitled to have seven days sick leaves & seven days casual Leaves in a year. According to section 14 (1)(a) of this Act every employee who has been in employment for not less than 20 days in a year shall be entitled to one day's earned leave for every such 20 days. Does this 20 normal calender days or 20 working days, we are 5 days working so maximum 21-22 days we work in a year, so we are confused whether we have to give as per 20 working days or 20 calender days.
If it is 20 workign days, just to put up to the management, Is it mentioned/written anywhere to show as a proof.
Please suggest as it is very urgent and imp. Thanks!

Dear
Under this Act we are to grant earned leaves considering the employment days & not the actual working days. You have also read the same sentence in the Act. Therefore implement the law in its true spirit. In my opinion the Act is very much clear that we to grant EL on employment days & not the working days.
opinion/comments submitted as requested.

Dear Fateh,
you have submit the Form F, Form A and Form B along with lease agreement or same type of document or proof of commencement of work. you also need to submit Rs.5000/- if the employees are more than 9. you can submit this amount to SBI bank and get the sign and stamp of treasury officer of your respective location. After that you can submit the form to local labour inspector. Labour Inspector may ask for Rs. 1000/- as red cross fees, which is not mandatory under this act.
These forms can be purchased from any book seller/stationery shop
if you are in Haryana, you can do it online also.
Regards
Sumeet
