Hi Ashvan,
Thats a fabulous idea and i really like your intention of appreciating our HR folks, who all the time get ignored since they are the organizers/volunteers. I felt the same at times, but could not take a further step. Its a really appreciable thought but a bit tough to put it innovative any more, As HR are the people who all the time come up with one or the other ideas. As per my knowledge I would like to propose the below points.
Let me try with my way here, and I would like to put my version that what will i do, If I am in this scenario.
1. Engage them with the company's vision and mission, be transparent with management practices, and open them for the decision making discussions.
2. Appreciate their small small activities, where they will not be expecting any recognition of that activity. You may ignore appreciating for a Senior Manager- Closure or practice implementation but not for dealing a smart way of client/ employee interaction,
3. Trust them and provide challenging work, push them beyond their knowledge levels and make them realize they are not just what they think, and can do a lot more.
4. Provide some awards in the internal team, ensuring each talent will get equally recognize and get reward. Organize some fun activities, you taking up the total organization.
5. Speak to them, about their career approaches, mentor them in such aspects and guide them for a better path, Maintain a balanced work life relation with them.
6. Last but not least, You should be idle to them in all aspects and influence them with the your way of managing the things. Thats all the followers would be expecting from their reporting person in a general scenario.

Dear Ashish,
In our company we have formed a group and we call them Fun Group. Group consist of HR & Other team Members from different projects. You can limit the size of this group depending on the size of organisation.
Once in month they meet and decide what activities they are going to conduct and accordingly they plan and execute it.
As whole Fun team is involved in this activity so the pressure is not only on HR but other group members as well.
So they get time to participate and enjoy the activities.
