Hi Arika, First I wanna say that you must go to the old post here on Cite for your answer as we already have discussed on the same topic several times and have numbers of post by the member and seniors and im sure by doing this you will learn many things…

Second, for a beginner, as Tanu said that a person should be polite, quick to learn, energetic, vigilant and need to perform their task sincerely assigned by the seniors.

Before going to further, I would like to tell that a beginner must understand the need of HR and the role of HR peoples for an Organisation bcz until then there is no need to discuss about how to get succeeded in HR profession.

What is HR and need of HR for an Organisation?

How to establish a HR in an Organisation? (Which is basically connected to the Need of HRM?)

What are the major works, responsibilities of a HR personal or managers?

These are some of basic question which need to be answered or to understand this profession. Few of peoples used to ask what is the need of HRM in an Organisation and what HR Managers and other peoples are contributing towards the attainment of Organisation Objectives and Goals.

Numbers of peoples there and I have discussed the same and emphasized the Value HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT. I would like you all to go to the links below to understand these all things and im sure you’ll find the answers that you are looking for.

By my post/reply on this thread https://www.citehr.com/285974-career...ml#post1290276 and https://www.citehr.com/332979-hr-man...ste-money.html I tried describing the importance of HRM with “MY 7 STARS OF HR”

Dear Arika,

You need not make any complex exercise to become a successful HR professional. It is very simple. You can learn while accomplishing your routine job within the working hours of your office.

Whatever job is assigned to you, while putting up that to your boss, just make a habit to know the background of that specific job, how and what had already been done in similar jobs by your predecessor in the file, and think how better you could have done that.

Discuss your view points with your superior on that, have his/her views and put up the case expressing your views & suggestion in a very convincing manner where consensus has been arrived at between you and your superior. But, mind it, be vigilant where you think your superior is misleading you or asking you to put up on his biased judgment. In that case, where you differ entirely with the views of your superior, simply submit the case without your suggestions and seek the decision of the competent authority on that matter.

After the decision is taken on the concerned matter, once again go through the outcome and think what and why should that have been right or wrong. You may however, need not bother about wrong decision taken by the decision maker, but, if you differ with the opinion on that decision, must try to discuss in a humble manner with your superiors about the pros & cons of that decision. If your superior or the boss is convinced with your viewpoints, he or she may agree to ask you to resubmit the case with your opinion for review. But, if they don't agree, don't try to stress on that., as you have already done your duty well.

That will prove to be the practical way of learning your job instead of remembering hypothetical instructions received from any one in the absence of any document or event. That way, besides accomplishing your office jobs, you will also be able to enhance your knowledge and experience.
