Dear ALL, Kindly guide me as i am in a dilemma. I have 2 years of HR experience in the manufacturing industry and 2 years of HR and admin experience in an NGO which runs colleges and schools. In total 4 years of HR and Admin experience. Now i am planning to do SAP HR certification either from Siemens or NIIT Chennai. Kindly guide me on whether it is good to invest 3.4 Lacs for sap certification? I am 26 now. Can I make it to the sap HR industry being a fresher in SAP?

It is a fact that SAP certified professionals are one of the highest paid in the industry and have a higher option to get employability across the globe.

Somewhere I feel, HR field is stagnant and lacks growth opportunity as compared to marketing, finance, IT or other directly revenue related fields.
Every company sees HR Department as overhead, extra support system expense. in this case how can HR professional make themselves marketable.

3.4 Lacs is a lot of money and you have about 2 years experience in HR industry. Although the opportunities are plenty, I guess there are equally competent guys with more experience in the market that you should run the race with. My thinking is possibly you could differ your investment plan by 2 years so that the Automation transition that the industry is going through might be a bit more mature and you also would be familiar with other HR tools meanwhile.
Not I'm not recommending procrastination of delay of growth but just wise and timely investment into skills upgrade. Don't treat an SAP certification as a silver bullet for your career enhancement.
If you have made up your mind to put in the hard earned money into Learning SAP HR do a research and also get assurance from the institute on the post certification placement. Please remember that after certification there is no guarantee for a job unless provided by the SAP ATC itself. Just that you competing a more elite crowd and you are capable, comparable and suitable to compete in terms of experience and awareness in HR domain.
Also, once decided, it is always recommended to go for the authentic certification from authorized Training Centers ( SAP ATC) and not the low cost institutes. Should be Genuine learning, Genuine hands on experience on the SAP Module and Genuine case studies with, I think 24 hours access. Good Luck.
