You have a good career prospect in HR. Having good back ground in software and now shifting to HR will give you a good career growth in HR in the IT/Software industry. All the best. Regards, Shiji.

Karthika, You can do SAP-HR, but make it sure tat u do certification on it. Why because, n numbr of people in market are ready to train u on SAP HR, but, no one vl assure u the placement.

Hi,
I need suggestion on shaping my career in HR.
Initially I started as a recruiter in an IT consultancy and worked there for 1 year and then switched to a pharma company, where the company MD at the time of final interview told me that initially I am required to do administration work and later they would give me more and more Hr responsibilities and in the meanwhile they would give the designation of Management Trainee. But, even after six months I am far from HR responsibilities and whatever administration job I am doing its not proper admin job either . Now I am unable to decide as what to do next .....to resign and search but then its six months I have not done any HR work and feeling scared as I would not get a good oppertunity now....more over will it be a wise take to chuck the job during this reccession time....
Please Help...
