Dear Mongia,
EPF's own system doesn't work properly for voluntary contributions. You should check it yourself. Also, if employers wish to restrict their share to 6500, it also doesn't work properly. Please check it. I have informed them about this issue many times, but still, no action has been taken.

What you are telling is absolutely right. There are many problems if an employee's contribution is based on the full basic salary, and the employer's contribution is restricted to 6500/-. I tried a lot, and finally, I left that option altogether. I have not yet started filing Annual Returns using the E-Return tool. I don't know why they are making things complicated. Compared to other statutory software like VAT, ESI, and PT, PF is very much complicated. :(

Hi Mr. Rakesh, I do agree that it is simple, but there are bugs. I hope you haven't tried the below options. Try using the option where ER contribution is restricted to Rs. 6500/- and Rs. 780/-, and EE Contribution is based on the full basic. You will find the bugs. :)

Hi Rocky Your default username & PWD for E-return tool will be as admin. If you couldn’t remember password for E-Seva then you can reset it
