Can you help me understand what EPF is and what its use is? Recently, I joined as an Admin & HR in a private company. All the PF details are managed by the head office in Delhi, and I am responsible for handling all the documents in Chennai.
My query is regarding yesterday when I went to submit the PF details for March 2012. The banker told me that I need to go online, download the document, fill in the details, and submit the necessary documents. Could you support me with this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sathya,
Are you not aware of EPF/PF? EPF is the Provident Fund of 12% deducted from employees' salaries, and the same contribution shall be made by the employee. This amount can be claimed after retirement or upon leaving the current position.
I have a few queries regarding the PF. If your head office is in Delhi, they can handle all the returns and filings there.
As the bank advised, everything is now moving online. There have been many discussions on the same thread.

As per form if we are generating form 10 for the m/o mar.2012 it shows the detail of those left employees who has left during feb.12 then how can fill the date of exit of current wage month employess

Dear Sir,
The first line is not following the ECR upload structure. If you have included a header row, please delete it and attempt the upload again. If you encounter further issues, kindly forward the Excel file to me, and I will convert it to an ECR text file for you.
