Dear Mr Parikh
I am reproducing the post by the person who inititaed this discussion for your reference. I think this post is clear about the eprsons service and his department and based on this I made my observation
"Would like to add that the guy is in accounts department and working here for the last 25+ years, always ready to argue on the things related to HR. I told him that ideally, resignation should be accepted by reporting manager only and though intimation of resignation can be given to director. But he is not ready to listen anything. Really... the guy is very irritating. May God give him some wisdom so that he could understand how to behave with manners. ;-)"

Yeah Even i was about to say the same :)
as the employee is been working for 25 years..anyways these decisions can be sorted out immediately if internal HR of the XYZ company can get into the picture and understand the reason why things are happening as it doesn't look like a major issue and should not be a matter of concern.

Dear All,
Thanking you for all your valuable support and guidance given to sort out the matter. Furthermore, would like to add that what Mr. Parikh observed regarding my query is right. Employee who resigned did not serve 25+ years in the company. Person who has been working here for 25+ years is presently working with us. I end up now :-)
