Dear Vinay,
As far as promotion from Workmen category to Supervisory Category is concerned, no need to put Probation Clause for six months as he would have competed probation when you had recruited him in workmen category.
Now, based on his seniority and performance, he is being promoted into Supervisory category. You can only judge his performance in supervisory cadre from time to time or whenever it is due.
He will get the benefits as applicable in supervisory cadre and service conditions will continue and remain unchanged.
For this purpose, a circular in this regard may please be released mentioning the conditions.
