Company engaged in doing agency work has operations at multiple places within Gujarat State and also in many other states. The company has its Certified Standing Orders for one branch only and has not mentioned that these Certified Standing Orders will be applicable to all the current branches within the state and to any new branches that may be opened in the future. My question is whether I can benefit from the Certified Standing Orders of one branch for all the other branches in the absence of clear mention of its applicability. Senior, please guide me in light of I.E.S.O. Act and its provisions. I would be thankful if you could mention any judgments on this topic for my study purposes. Thanks.

You can use the Certified Standing Orders with respect to one unit on other units within the same state, provided the applicability of the Certified Standing Orders provides for it. Please check whether it is certified with respect to only one unit or if it could be interpreted to cover other units within the state. If there is no express provision for it, you will have to apply the Model Standing Orders to other units. In any case, it would not apply to other units outside the state.
