It has been established by all our HR team members that it is fake. So I am not going to say more on that.
However, the best to check the genuiness is to ask candidates to provide a copy of their original signed either increment letter or appointment letter along with scanned copy of pay slip. This works out to be better and you can seriously put pressure on the candidate to provide authentic stuff.
