Dear Babu,
It is truly nice to see all the details that are very pertinent for any employee regarding PF and its Forms. This is an answer to many queries raised on a day-to-day basis by the CiteHRians on the above subject. Once again, thanks a lot.

Hi,
I left my last company in December 2007, but I didn't withdraw my PF amount. Now somebody told me that you can withdraw your PF money before the 31st of March 2011; otherwise, your account will be forfeited. Kindly guide me in this regard.

You are not clear whether form-19 & form 10-c return to you, or only form-10-c returns to you. As per the new rules, if there is less than a 6-month service, the family pension amount is forfeited, and they return form-10-c. In less than a 6-month P.F. service, only form-19 is settled.

My withdrawal was done totally right, but in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat P.F. branch, during the return form submission, they informed the employee to submit transfer form-13 because, due to your current age, you need to join another PF company/establishment. Can they process the withdrawal?

Dear Seniors,
I have certain queries regarding this. Do we need to complete a 5-year tenure to avail any loans or withdraw PF amount? Our accountant mentioned that we cannot access these facilities until we complete a 5-year tenure after filing PF.
Could you please assist me with this?

While submitting withdrawal claims, you have to write your phone number on the right side top portion and attach a cancelled cheque or bank passbook copy. If there is a time gap, you should also attach a letter stating the reason for the late claim.

Hi,
I have a question related to PF withdrawal. Although you have excellently replied to all the general queries related to the subject, I have a question. Is it really necessary to withdraw your PF amount through the employer only? I have a case that is in discussions between my friends. One of our colleagues has recently joined us, and he has not served his desired notice period with the previous employer. Now, the previous employer is not ready to sign his PF application. In such cases, what is the other option left for the employee? Can he apply for his PF withdrawal by getting the form signed by a gazetted officer, or is there any option of withdrawal on a self-declaration basis?
Thank you.

Applying before 31st March 2011 is a better option because due to a lack of money with the PF government, it is proposed in the budget that after 31st March 2011, one can only withdraw his/her PF amount after the retirement age of 58; before that, it can only be transferred. As this is yet to be approved by the Ministry.
