Hi Rajeev,
No profession today is counted as easy. You have to work smart and hard at the same time.
Regarding the earnings in HR, they are high as well. Chose any Job Portal, and check out highest remunerations for HR equivalent to experience, do some self-study, You can do the same for other profession as well, and then analysis yourself along with the study you did, before deciding.
Just for information sharing, I know few HR people who are earning more than 50 - 75K per month with just 3-4 yrs of experience, but again it depends on the skills you have, and profession you can perform with.

HI
In any dept.Salary depends upon the experience and exposure
You will get more salaries for some depts otherthan HR where the work is too high
Totally they are depend upon the other allowances. But those depts will not get the image like HR peole. We have some respect in overall the company. So my dear salary is depend upon the brand. If u want only money u go for some other work.It is a dignified work where you have been touch with all the employees in the organisation.
Hope u udstd. And sory if any mistakes.

Hi Rajeev,

I am not sure why are you collecting this opinion on HR.

whether HR is really a earning field ?

Yes. If you are not right industry

Which is the sector where HR's are highly paid ?..IT/Manufacuring/retail etc etc ?

IT and Retail

Which part of HR is in demand presently ?(IR or personnel or recruitment or else)

Now the companies are looking for GAMUT of HR activities. Specifically on Talent Management & Talent Aquisition.

what is the highest salary a manager - hr can get? and why ?

I am sure. I read some where near to 24lacs per annum.

I just want to write few more lines on this. First thing is not to select your profession based on Salary/remuneration. Your interest in the field. What do you like the most.

If you want to recognised and should be paid well then...best is Business Development. If you will be paid well and as well as you will deadlines/targerts. If you are not acheived you have resign and leave the company.

Hope this information will help u.

Dear Rajeev,
Herewith i am also sharing my views on HRD
1. Definitely it is one of the Earning Field. Generally in every company, our HR Dept is taking care of Employee from Entry to Exit Level.
2. In Manufacturing sector salaries are low rather than IT & Retail. But we will get good exposure like T.U, C.B, Lay off, Strike, Closure, Dismissel orders ..........
3. Generalist role is always good for your career. If you become a G.M-HR in future, You should have knowledge in all areas of HR. It will be helpful for you progress.
4. Knowledge is power; if you have a talent you can reach the goals at short tenure. And get salary rather than others. And also depends upon companies.
I think it is useful for you.

Hi,
Let me put it across this way!
Any job which is related to 'Revenue Generation' for the organization the Price will go up. Then it doesn't matter if it's HR or Sales or any other.
Make your HR a 'Profit Center' Department & see the results!
Great Luck!

Hi Rajeev..
HRis not really an earning field, unless you get into good industry that pay you good like IT/BPO/Financial Services etc...
Currently there is more preference to HR Generalist profile who can handle the entire gamut of HR activities together. This requires a good experence in the field & the ability & skill of multi tasking.
However there are companies who look at specific roles in HR ike Recruitment/Employee relations/Training & Development/Compensation & Benefits.etc & prefer specialists in these roles to handle them independently.
Salaries of Managers vary from company to company & depends on the industry type ,brand, tenure, size of the company etc..

Dear friends,

I feel new comers have this choice before them. Those already in the field are obviously enjoying the profession of HR. Their staying in the function is proof of this.

Comparisions are always avoidable. For comparisions with any other profession will bring out strengths and weaknesses.

I feel that, HR is a service function in all industries and hence would occupy a stff function role. It will continue to assist the line function and continue to be an internal consultant to the line functioneries.

However, as the future predictions for HR indicate, more companies would be outsourcing HR functions in the days to come. This requires the availability of specialist HR organisations to meet such demands of the market. The HR persons engaged by these organisations would constitute the line functionaries of these organisations and provide the bread and butter for the organisation.

I predict that in such a scenario, the HR line functionaries with critical skills in converting HR organisational targets into executables and meet the client needs at a profit will always be GREAT demand. The market would pay very competitive compensation packages. If such persons have IT skills, IR skills, OD skills ( in short critical skills demamded by market) in the same person, you can be damn sure that sky is the limit as far as compensation is concerned.

It can be any persons guess as to when such a golden era is going to come. May be it has starterd. The market would take off in another couple of years. But one thing is sure. HR would no longer be content with staff functions. It has to be bussiness savvy to survive and deliver value.
