Hello Richa,

Like Simhan has repeated, unless you give more details it not only makes 'giving any suggestions' tough, but also could lead to wrong ones being given.

Though I had guessed that your's was a wife & husband team, I didn't realize that the 'friends' too could be the same.

Frankly, as it is, a combination of wife & husband in any work environment is usually tough to persist in a long-term context, UNLESS there's a very clear demarcation of RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY. And here you have TWO such teams under the same roof.

I am not sure if each of you have very clearly defined responsibilities & authorities--when I say 'clearly defined' this is what I mean: when the Accounts person decides something, IT HAS TO BE OBEYED & FOLLOWED......PERIOD. No arguments or personal logic into play. So too with the others. If it boils down to: I am the husband...so you need to agree & follow me [it may work @ home], they you have a sure recipe for disaster--the worst-case-scenario being: the company going for a toss, which I presume none of you want it.

Given the delicate situation, I guess you could be hesitating to bring out more details into a public domain like CiteHR. In such a case, I would suggest you send private messages to Archna & (Cite Contribution) giving the details--hope they don't mind. I am sure a solution will be found. Like the saying goes: There's no problem without a solution...we only need to find it.

However, whatever suggestions emerge, I can see one thing very clearly: All the 4 of you will need to sit down coolly & mark-out the responsibilities & authority structure clearly between all of you--and like I mentioned above, the others WILL HAVE TO follow what the person assigned with a particular role/responsibility decides in his/her area--wife & husband may be @ home, but @ office, all of you are officials & professionals. Once a decision is taken after discussions, then there has to be only ONE STEP--Follow & Implement it. No more discussions after that.

Rgds,

TS
