Hi,,,

U can try for this-------->

Late-coming Policy:

A grace period of 30 minutes will be allowed in a calendar month to all the associates, only 3 late comings are allowed in a month. Thereafter, “for every 3 late comings half-a-day’s salary will be deducted and no leave adjustments will be done for late comings.”

Employees coming after grace period will sign in a separate register besides swiping the card.

All associates, while reporting to duty and leaving at the end of the day shall swipe/sign (whichever is to be done) on all working days without fail. Any associate who has not swiped the card/signed the register will be marked absent for the day.

Swiping Correctly:

How do you ensure swiping?
When you swipe the card, you will hear a beep sound and will be able to see a green light.
In case of any problem in swiping the card, please report to HR Dept.

Forgot Identity Card

In case you forget the identity card, you should inform the same in writing to the functional head and submit to the HR Department.

Associates should bring their ID Card regularly without fail. We will be monitoring the attendance regularly and any associate forgetting the identity card frequently will be closely observed and will be viewed seriously.

hi Priyanka....
I read all ideas by all senior people here n al r really good but m going 2 give you another one as there is problem of late coming i think you should try for this idea....just stand on the gate at 10.15 am with some Red Roses n simply pin up the flowers to the employees who will come late...u may be thinking this will be the insulting kind of thing but actually by cutting their salary or pay u wil insult them more...so create psychological impact n controll the late coming...the employee who will hav more no. of roses in a week/month will be ".................of the month" ....
for further ideas can mail me on

Hello
Our company is a mineral based co. and most of the staffs are working from quite long period of time [15 - 20 years]. Now the issue is some senior staff come office after 9.30 am and our office timing is 9 to 5.30.
Please suggest how to tackle them. We cannot make flexi timing. And also we cannot argue with them, as they are close to Top Management people.

This is a problem every where . First of all to tackle the issue you need to have good attendnace recording system ( Bio metric or card reader )
YOu need to get acurate report on employees late attendance
then you take up late employees list with their incharge/HOD, ask him
to counsel his employees first , then call them counsel them from HR,
if stil it does not work, issue a notice stating that
if an employee is late for 3 times in a month half day salary or leave will be cut automatically.
You need to be firm in this kind of issues , then only you will see some improvement.
all the best!

Hi,
This is the perennial problem in all IT companies as they won't pack up in time from the work normally. But by having this pleas, many will pretext that they are working late night. However, you need to check their time of leaving and you can tell them to come on time in case you happen to see them packing up in time the previous day. By and large, there is no stoppage for this as they work lot of extra hrs in case the project demands, and if at all, you need to move carefully. Send some articles which explains the importance of time and punctuality.
Best of luck,
Thanks,

hi,
you can made a policy wherein if employee comes after 11.00, will be counted one half day, and if three occassions are there of coming between 10 to 11 in a month, count it as one half day.

Hi, Flexi hours is a positive way out, if not possible, ask the employees to mark the time of arrival every day. For Three late coming days censure the employees. There after implement proportionate wage cut.

Hi priya,
i cant say its the best solution but this is what we do in our office, when we have work we put a word to everyone for extension....when there is no work we go as early as possible....be friendly with them try to tackle the situation as easy as possible....in such situations you must act very smart...just keep a watch who all are coming late....i hope your company has a bulletin board, just put there names on the board who ever is coming late at the same time encourage people who come early by praising them by giving them chocolate something innovative so that the others might feel that they must also be appreciated....you will really get a positive reply....ALL THE BEST :)

hi,
what ever may be the work. As a hr its is our duty to schedule the working time. so the working time should not go above or before.. make a schedule. and try to close the shift at right time. so that the employee may be highly satisfied. bcz of working extra time. the work may also not in expected level. we have to complete that work at right time.
this is the only way to tact this problem together we can able to satify the employees.
with regards,
vijay
