First, familiarize yourself with the Shops Act under which the showroom is registered. Discuss with management the issues of latecoming, timings, etc. after studying the whole issue through practical observation and by observing the existing system already established in the office.

Once you are thorough with the issues, start drafting the timings for the office which should be in line with the Shop Act timings. Consider the different departments you have, for example, workshop, office, security guards, conservancy staff. Timings will vary for these groups. Guards may work in shifts, while conservancy staff may need to come in early for cleaning and some may have to stay until the office closes.

Working hours within the rules are outlined in the Shops Act of the state. Latecoming policies can be decided, for instance, up to a maximum of 15 minutes late will be treated as half-day leave, etc.

Ensure that whatever actions you take involve the top management and that you are authorized to do so. Study and thoroughly understand the rules and laws regarding the subject, and provide recommendations to your superiors for corrective or amendment actions.
