Hi Pushpananjudaiah,
My suggestion to you is now that you see there is not much work being done in HR this is great opportunity for you.
You know what work HR does and slowly you can streamline and with initiatives take up the roles in your hand. I was in a similar juncture at one point of time and believe me it will bring out the best of abilities within you.
Rest I feel (Cite Contribution) has given brillint insight on how you can proceed with the same.
You were destined to get this OPPORTUNITY grab it and prove your worth.
My best wishes and good luck......

Just one thing....we all are provided situations in life and we are expected to improve them.....and that what we call "Value addition"..unless one expects to just be a furniture...one need to study the people, process and behaviour and then slowly win people to bring the change one expects.
There is No Ideal place on this earth and nor will be.....even if "seniors" advise the location for you, its your efforts which will bring change.
For me ur lucky with less burden, look at acquiring skills, if you have stopped education start it, you have time to learn and do lots of new things as compared to many members who have 1000 things to complete, reports to make and a Boss to make life miserable.....
We all crib for quality time, till the time god gave is passed on by us in wailing.....Just look around, this is the opportunity for you in 1000 ways.....
I am in similiar situation ( Noe becoming a Boss ) so iam focusing on Teaching concepts to my team, by becoming a visiting faculty in a small college and contributing here regularly.....thus rather than loosing intrest, iam re defining my time to be more productive to my team and people around me...

Hello all,
The quote will clearly indicate that my response is directed primarily to the author of the post.
I consider his reply to be rather unprofessional and totally uncalled for!
The world is NOT all NORMAL people as this author thinks he is!
Everyone has a right to make a mistake and so long that someone LEARNS from the mistake, it is fine.
But no one is invited to sit in judgment and dish out UNSOLICITED advice.
I could easily see from the original poster that there was a problem in articulation and not in the intent! If you an offence the problem may be with your own perception.
Why don't we hold ourselves in check before simply launching a verbal assault at some defenceless person.
I recommend that this poster NEEDS to learn to maintain decency, dignity and decorum of this forum. I also think that this poster MUST make up for the hurt he/she has caused for no justifiable reason, whether by tendering a sincere apology or by tendering a proper explanation of unbriddled urge to use words!
I recommend that the Moderators should INTERVENE and set the tempo to the civility the forum always enjoyed!

Hello pushpananjundaiah,
You must be really blessed to have landed in such a job.Time is the most scarce resource available today. So, Enjoy whatever is given to you or if you are still left with plenty of time, help the poor and needy roaming down nearby. You will definitely feel good about yourself.Eat,Pray and Love.
Not only this, the community members have really given some great ideas which you can implement.I was enriched by them too.
And as far as all this episode is concerned, please dont feel sorry.Take this as a learning.Life is too short.....dont waste it in cribbing about problems.
Have a nice life!
Best Regards

Hi All,
First of all I wish you all a Very Happy Republic Day 2011.Already Pushpananjundaiah made a mistake by writing "hi seniors as u all said i joined for hr generalist but" its our responsibility to show him that what is right and what is wrong because he is in a learning stage. Its lovely to see they way seniors replied so politely but on the other hand its really bad to see the way one member replied.Than what is the difference between the person who is not satisfied with his job and the person who replied so harshly and I totally agree with "Paru" that every one has some expectations and when it does not full fill human being think in a negative way.So as an Human Being we have no right to upset any one when you do not have the capability to encourage. And Pushpananjundaiah its a life where you will face n numbers of problem which you have to solve and also you will learn from the problems.Be Happy what ever you are doing in your job and try to learn beyond your job responsibility because Knowledge has no limitations.

Hi seniors
I dont have enough experience or age to comment on this thread. But i would like to clarify one thing that human error exists since the evolution of humans. Committing error is only a part of learning and it is the wisdom that tells us to overcome such mistakes when we face the same situation in some point of time. wisdom can be acquired only from our learnings and experiences with the others. It is our prime responsibility to help him acquire this wisdom.
