Hi, HR informed me that my background verification is red after 4 months of joining the company. They also informed me to resign, ensuring that I would get an immediate release. They mentioned that I will not receive a relieving letter, but I will get an experience letter after 21 days. Will I still receive an experience letter?

This can only be answered by an insider in your company who is the dealing authority. There are many such queries in this forum where the authorities have shied away from giving experience certificates. Do you think the words of the HR person can be taken at face value?

It is a funny thing to note that on the one hand, the COMPANY is asking the employee to leave due to whatever reason, and on the other hand, they say 'you will get an experience letter after 21 days.' How long does it take to issue an experience letter? It is pure and simple harassment. The company may give 100 reasons, but all are flimsy.

Dear Anonymous Querist,
The facts as you state pertain to BGV, which has been reported to be red. In such circumstances, when BGV is found suspicious or untrue, the employment can be terminated at any time by the employer without giving any notice. In your case, you are being advised to resign; that seems, at least to me as an individual, a good option extended to you. It is immaterial whether you get an experience/relieving letter or not, provided your EPF was not deducted. If EPF was deducted, then try to obtain a relieving/experience letter amicably.
Please do not expect anything to happen overnight or within the time you desire. Faith is always rewarded. Remember, God makes everything beautiful in His time.
